This profession is not small. It carries weight, responsibility, and purpose in ways that are often overlooked. Behind every notarization is a deeper role, one that supports trust, protects identity, and plays a quiet but essential part in people’s most important life moments.

As a commissioned Notary Public in California, a certified Apostille Agent, and a Certified Notary Trust Delivery Agent, I have made a conscious decision to approach this work with intention. My background in International Relations and a Master’s in International Law has shaped how I see documents, not just as paperwork, but as instruments that carry legal, personal, and sometimes global significance.

Because that is what we are really part of. We are part of the system that makes documents trustworthy. We are part of the process that helps protect people from fraud.

We are present during milestones, estate plans, powers of attorney, and international document authentication, where accuracy and integrity truly matter.

Those moments are not routine for the people sitting across from us. They are often emotional, urgent, or deeply meaningful. And being trusted to step into that space is something I do not take lightly.

That is exactly why I believe this profession deserves more than just meeting minimum requirements. It deserves professionalism, in how we show up, communicate, and carry ourselves.

It deserves accountability, in every signature, every seal, every identity verified. And it deserves a standard that reflects the importance of the role we hold. For me, continuos education and credentialing is part of that commitment.

It is not about collecting titles or adding letters after my name. It is about choosing to do this work the right way, even when no one is watching. It is about continuing to grow, refine my skills, and provide a level of service that people can rely on with confidence.

That is why I love what I do. Because being a Notary Public is not just a task. It is a responsibility. It is a standard.
